North Vancouver Breweries Continue to Thrive with Newest Additions

Ah, the perks of being a craft beer drinker these days. Vancouver’s craft beer community has been steadily growing since 2013 resulting in two celebrated and established brewing districts in Brewery Creek and Yeast Van.

Home to the majority of Vancouver’s craft breweries, admittedly new brewery openings in these neighborhoods have slowed in the last year with Container Brewing in East Van being the only official announcement. But look to the North Shore, and there are some exciting things brewing on those mountains.

Less than a 10-minute drive from East Vancouver, Vancouver’s North Shore brewery district is poised to become the 2nd largest brewing district in town. While famous North Vancouver brewpubs Taylor’s Crossing and Sailor Hagar’s have both closed their doors in recent years, currently six craft breweries call North Vancouver home with FOUR more on their way in the next 1-2 years.

Anticipation is high for new entrants like House of Funk Brewing, Streetcar Brewing, and Wildeye Brewing, and the recent announcement of Northpoint Brewing Co. will bring the total to 10 North Shore breweries!
