The Best Vancouver Craft Breweries as Seen Through Vancouver Brewery Tours
/in Brewery ToursWe were honoured to have Dustan from BeerMeBC join us again, one year after his first tour. Dustan was on one of our new tour rotations which took him to Brassneck Brewery, Bomber Brewing and Deep Cove Brewers and Distillers.
“The Vancouver craft Beer Scene has exploded in recent years and determining what are the best BC craft breweries is no easy task. Vancouver Brewery Tours is here to help though as not only have they narrowed down the field but also offer you the opportunity to decide for yourself with a tour of the top pics.”

New Brewery Partner – Brassneck Brewery
/in Brewery ToursWe’re super excited to announce our new partnership with Brassneck Brewery for our brewery tours! They have joined our Saturday and Sunday rotations and will also be available for Private Tours.
In their own words:
Brassneck opened on October 2nd 2013. We’re a little neighbourhood brewery with a Growler Shop & Tasting Room servicing the good people of Mount Pleasant & the surrounding area. We like to keep things simple. We just serve the beer we brew & the occasional sausage.
There’s no kitchen here but we have a roster of Food Trucks serving goodies just about every night. Order outside & bring it inside to eat. Easy peasy.
Our brewing philosophy is also very straight forward. We like to experiment, not take ourselves too seriously and constantly try new things. The result is a busy, ever changing chalk board, full of choices showcasing a mixture of tried & true “dangerously drinkable” beers, Nano sized experiments & lesser known styles from all over Europe & North America.
New Brewery Partner – Main Street Brewing
/in Brewery ToursWe’re excited to be partnering with Main Street Brewing on our brewery tours starting mid October. They will be part of our Friday rotation and available for Private Tours. More details soon!
“Main Street Brewing resides in one of Vancouver’s few surviving industrial heritage buildings. The “Vancouver Breweries Garage” dates back to 1913 and sits in the historic Brewery Creek district, an area once dominated by tanneries & breweries and which we now proudly call home.”

Brewmaster: Jack Bensley
Operations: Nigel Pike and Cameron Forsyth

Brewery tour operator cashes in on microbrewery sales surge
/in Brewery ToursBusiness in Vancouver is no stranger to microbrewing and its boom over the past few years. They have featured several articles recently on the industy’s rapidly increasing sales and market share over big breweries. As a small business, any time our company is mentioned in the media is a very exciting and rewarding experience for us. When BIV contacted us to do a feature on Vancouver Brewery Tours and how the boom is impacting our business we were excited!
Written by Glen Korstrom and introduced as “Tourism operators thirsty to cash in on Vancouver’s burgeoning microbrewery sector have started to see success”. BIV reported earlier this month that sales for breweries that produce less than 1.5 million litres annually saw sales rise 43.4% in the year that ended June 30.

Meet the Newest Member of our Team!
/in Brewery ToursWe are so happy to announce our newest team member and brewery tour guide, meet Rachel! Rachel brings her infectious laugh and warm personality to her new role, and also years of brewing experience both as an avid home brewer and as an assistant brewer at a local brewery. Rachel will be starting her new brewery tour guide role starting in June, and is looking forward to introducing our guests to the Vancouver craft beer scene.
Rachel grew up in the US midwest, then spent a decade in Brooklyn, NY, before doing a complete 180 and moving to BC, where she really developed her love for craft beer. Though she loves to drink locally wherever she is and doesn’t discriminate when it comes to styles (with the one exception of smoky beers!), she has a passion for Belgian brews above all others. When not guiding tours, you can find her experimenting in the kitchen with organic foods, and during winter falling down on the local ski hills as she learns to ski the beautiful North Shore mountains.
Beer The Show Hops on Board with Vancouver Brewery Tours
/in Brewery ToursBeer the Show is a local website dedicated to exploring and enjoying all things related to craft beer. Known for showcasing some of the great stories coming out of the Vancouver beer scene, the thirsty Beer the Show crew has over 100 years of combined television experience and even more experience drinking craft beer. Sufficed to say, when they called us up looking to do a story on our brewery tours, we were humbled and excited to help!
We invited the Beer the Show crew to come along on one of our popular Saturday behind the scenes tours and join in on the fun. Not only did they capture some of the day’s highlights, they also got to speak to a few brave beer drinkers and ask them about their brewery tour experiences. Check out the video below to watch the day unfold!
